The beautiful beaches are a 5 minute drive away. Los Dolses is in the heart of the Orihuela Costa and is just a few kilometres south of Torrevieja, this area has grown rapidly in recent years with many British, German, Dutch and Scandinavian people snapping up property as second homes in the sun. This location is known for its well-maintained urbanisations and predominately consists of gated communities in and around beautiful green areas and swimming pools.
Although Los Dolses is slightly inland it is only minutes from the coast where there are many fine quality white sandy beaches nearby including La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca and Campoamor. All of them have been awarded the European Blue Flag which signifies high standards of water cleanliness, safety and good family facilities.
Los Dolses has its own commercial centre but its only walking distance to the famous Villamartin Plaza which is a major attraction offering a great selection of shops, bars, cafes, banks and restaurants. In the warmer months at night the square comes to life with a superb atmosphere buzzing with excitement. Other communities such as Playa Flamenca, Campoamor, La Zenia and Villamartin surround the area of Los Dolses.
Right on your doorstep is the recently opened Zenia Boulevard; it’s the largest shopping centre in the province of Alicante. Described by many people as a small city it has streets, squares, fountains, daily concerts and events which bring it to life. The Shopping Centre has been designed for both enjoyment and entertainment with over 150 shops including Alcampo, Decathlon, Primark, Leroy Merlin, Conforama, Norauto, Media Markt, Zara, Lefties, H&M, C&A, Massimo Dutti and many more including a mouth watering selection of places to eat.
Flight access to the area is excellent with two main airports in close proximity. Alicante airport is a 45 minute drive away and Murcia airport is just 30 minutes. Los Dolses is a popular destination for golfers as it boasts four championship golf courses, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, Las Colinas and Villamartin, all within a 5 minute drive of each other.
Los Dolses enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine, long days and relatively low rainfall. August is the hottest month with an average temperature of 29°C (84.2°F); the coldest is January at 11°C (51.8°F) with a maximum of 12 hours sunshine per day in July. The best month to swim in the sea is August when the average sea temperature is 25°C (77°F).
